ARCHER Capability Hierarchy Overview

The ARCHER ecosystem is organized into five capability levels, each building upon the previous to enable increasingly sophisticated autonomous behaviors.

Level 1: Foundation

Infrastructure and Basic Processing

The foundational layer provides core infrastructure:

Components involved: All

Level 2: Task Execution

Action and Integration

Enables reliable task completion:

Primary component: Fluxio

Level 3: Cognitive Operations

Reasoning and Planning

Higher-order cognitive functions:

Primary component: ODIE

Level 4: Adaptive Intelligence

Learning and Adaptation

Continuous improvement:

Components involved: All (especially Cogniscient)

Level 5: Autonomous Agency

Self-Directed Goal Pursuit

Full autonomy:

Emergent from all components

Progressive Capability

Each level requires the capabilities of all lower levels. Level 5 autonomy is only possible because Levels 1-4 provide the necessary foundation.
